Our Story

The creation of a premier catering company, such as Kalish Catering & Co., has always been my dream.

Working in an array of North Shore kitchens throughout my teenage years helped to spark my curiosity and love for not only fine food but great service as well. This passion and drive continued to flourish as I earned a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Shortly after my graduation from UNLV, I traveled to New York, where I continued to hone my skills working for a premier corporate catering company in Manhattan. The high-energy atmosphere and demand for the highest quality ingredients catapulted my interest into the catering business. Upon my return to Chicago, I was once again drawn to corporate catering working with an established high-volume catering outfit focused on both corporate and wholesale accounts.

While these work experiences were valuable and truly rewarding, it was in 2003 that I chose my own direction in which to use my tools and expertise to make the vision of Kalish Catering & Co., a reality.
